Arik brought his foot down, ending the life that scurried madly beneath it. He did so without the slightest thought, and in fact barely even registered the movement that so casually extinguished the seven-legged spider. It seems like there are shoes laying in the oddest possible places; next to the uncomfortable blue loveseat (though it’s hard to love), under the red and black mountain bike that lies next to it. The dining set is of that pale wood you see on everything in IKEA. It’s smooth to the touch, and somehow ingrained with the smell of the dying flowers that have sat atop it for the past few weeks. The carpet is a muted pink, and it’s tolerably comfortable but you certainly wouldn’t want to be dragged across it naked. On the outskirts of Yujio village there was a low thatched hut, not at all like the others around it. It stood on no street at all, in a section of the town that bore no name worth mentioning. The door of this particular hut, made of strong tanned hides, was warded magically, but not that one would see. A large interior, sparsely furnished with a low table, two worn cushions, and a wooden altar, backed another flap that opened onto the Wilds. So I vanished for a while, but that's because I've been doing some larger projects, and haven't wanted to post incomplete work.

DA, today marks the posting of my largest file to date, roughly 60 pages of musical theatre. I wrote the show - with help - some time ago, but I've been revising and revising. This is the work as it stands right now, but significant revisions are certainly on the way. I would love some commentary from anyone steadfast enough to finish the whole thing. I intend to pursue production on the mainstage at my university, which the head of our theatre department has shown significant interest in. This would be a huge step for me, so please: if you have nothing constructive to say, step off.
